Biography

David Lilburn is a visual artist and printmaker.
Maps / map-making, landscape and the graphic techniques of intaglio printmaking are continuous sources of inspiration for his work. There is a strong narrative interest in his images, which are packed with topographical, historical and anecdotal information.
Drawing is central preoccupation which underpins his graphic work.
He is also an occasional designer and publisher.
